Openning of registration to the Mediterranean Economic Week: The programme is finally available!

It is now possible to sign up to the events taking place during the Mediterranean Economic Week from the 2nd to the 4th of November 2016 in Marseille.

img_6413In total, more than 3000 participants and 300 speakers are expected, and 20 countries will be represented in this new edition which will be open to Sub-Saharan Africa for the first time.

Over three days, various subjects will be addressed:

  • Who are the digital technology stakeholders in the Mediterranean?
  • The issues with digital technology: a vital tool for the development of companies and the Mediterranean area
  • Opportunities offered by the digital technology revolution and new borders of cooperation between Europe, the Mediterranean and Africa
  • The Mediterranean: a “connected hub” to Africa
  • Digital technology market opportunities and how to share effective working techniques

A reinforced business dimension

In 2016, a new step has been taken in a business dimension statement with workshops organised on business opportunities offered by digital technology in Mediterranean countries and a company pitch competition as part of the first Europe Middle East and Africa Business Forum. B to B meeting areas will also be available during the event.

Not to miss, the main parts of the event:

  • The introduction session “Digital technology transition and company relocation in the Mediterranean”, organised by the Office for Economic Cooperation in the Mediterranean and the Middle East (OCEMO), on the 2nd of November at 9am.
  • The “Digital technology information in the Mediterranean” conference, organised by the Marseille Club Press, on the 2nd of November at 2pm
  • The first Europe Middle East and Africa Business Forum “Opening the borders of economic cooperation in the Mediterranean in the digital technology era” organised by ANIMA Investment Network, on the 2nd and 3rd of November
  • The Network of Mediterranean Sustainable Urban Developers meeting “Mediterranean cities in negotiation. Intelligent urban projects, low-tech cities and transitioning urban areas”, organised by the ‘Caisse des Depots’, the Euro-Mediterranean EPA and the Mediterranean Integration Centre (CMI), on the 2nd and 3rd of November
  • The “Algeria: l and of digital technology innovation” conference, organised by the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in France (CACI France), on the 3rd of November at 5pm
  • The 3rd Euro-Mediterranean Crowdfunding meetings, organised by Pop Finance, all day on the 4th of November
  • The “Digital technology for economic development in the Mediterranean”

This 10th edition of the Mediterranean Economic Week brings together local, national and international economic workers, especially Aix-Marseille French Tech and its ecosystem.

Students from specialised training courses in communications, digital marketing, journalism, video, digital and new technology, international relations and Euro-Mediterranean management of schools and universities from the region will once again be involved in the event.
