Marseille Center for Mediterranean Integration

The CMI was inaugurated on 9 October 2009 in Marseilles, on the basis of a friendship protocol established by the founding members that included, at the end of 2009, Egypt, France, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, the European Investment Bank and the World Bank. Further collaboration agreements with countries and partners are in the process of being prepared.

The Marseille Center for Mediterranean Integration (CMI)’s objective is to improve the convergence of sustainable development policies through a knowledge exchange platform and collective learning.

The CMI is a platform managed by the World Bank that aims to develop multiple partner programmes, established from a department of the World Bank office that was created in 2004.
