Anima EMEA Business Forum : Mediterranean Economic Cooperation in the Digital Era

To celebrate its tenth birthday, the ANIMA Investment Network (1) and its partners have organised the EMEA (Europe - Middle East - Africa) Business Forum. The event will be held in Marseille on the 2nd and 3rd of November as part of Mediterranean Economic Week.

Aimed at businesses and economic decision-makers from around the region, the EMEA (Europe - Middle East - Africa) Business Forum will examine the opportunities offered by the digital revolution and new frontiers for cooperation between Europe, the Mediterranean and Africa.

"The EMEA Business Forum is a chance for participants to engage in two days of strategic discussion regarding business opportunities and the construction of a sustainable international cooperation network," says Emmanuel Noutary, General Delegate for ANIMA. "Around the Mediterranean, more and more entrepreneurs are expressing their desire to access new markets, especially in Africa and the Gulf, where business opportunities are vast. It is our responsibility to support these companies."

Over the course of the two-day event, the ANIMA EMEA Business Forum will provide a number of opportunities for networking and exchange. Conferences and workshops will be organised around the following topics: Unlocking the Mediterranean using Digital Technology and Digital Industry as a driving force for regional development. "Government representatives from around the region will describe strategies for cooperation and economic integration in the area. Major companies in the digital industry will present opportunities in the sector, and companies will have an opportunity to exchange best practices over the course of a series of dynamic and highly-pertinent working sessions and pitches. The Enterprise Village and the B2B Zone organised by Mediterranean Economic Week, as well as the business opportunities and partnerships seminar organised with the Mediterranean Finances and Council (LOOKUP) on the Thursday afternoon, will encourage and facilitate concrete exchanges between entrepreneurs and investors," explains Emmanuel Noutary. "It is our hope that this h ands-on approach will lead to concrete progress being made."

       (1)  Formed in 2006, the Anima Investment Network is a multi-national cooperative platform working towards economic development in the Mediterranean region. The ANIMA network is a federation of national and regional agencies, international organisations, entrepreneurial associations, innovation hubs, investors and research institutes.
